Lin Lochead is a Sterilising Consultant with a Nursing background. She has completed the NSW Sterilising Technology Course, has a degree from CQU in Biological Sciences (1995) and has been a member of the standards committee (4187 & 4815) for 15 years.

After participating in the writing of the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS4187:2003 Code of Practice for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilising reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and maintenance of associated environments in health care facilities and Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 4815:2006 Office-based health care facilities not involved in complex patient procedures and processes cleaning, disinfecting, sterilising reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and maintenance of associated environments Lin has spent the last fifteen years lecturing to office-based health professionals on the responsibilities associated with their work and how to achieve better, cost effective outcomes.
